Carnival and Green Monday in Cyprus

CARNIVAL

Every year, three weeks before the Green Monday, we have the carnival period. Children, wearing funny or scary masks and customs are visiting the houses of their neighborhood. A lot of carnival parties are taking place for adults and children. But the greatest moments of our carnival are during the last weekend of it. This year is on the 13th and 14th of February. On these days, there are carnival parades in the main streets of the towns. At school we are making masks to wear them at our visits to our neighbors. Be aware we can visit you!!! Our School participates at the great parade in the streets of Pafos. Enjoy the pictures below. The dates of the carnival depend on the date of the Easter.
